IBEW Local 428 has partnered with UnionWorx to manage our Panel Installer out of work list and dispatch system for filling calls beginning March 1, 2022.  We will continue to use our existing system for dispatching Panel Installers for all calls prior to March 1, 2022.

UnionWorx is a web and app based automated system that will require everyone to register for online.  This must be done before March 1, 2022 to maintain your current spot on the “Out of Work List”.  Anyone registering after March 1, 2022 will be added to the back of the “Out of Work List” as outlined in our “Dispatch Procedures”.  Those that register for UnionWorx that aren’t already on the “Out of Work List”, but qualify to do so, will go into a random roll and placed at the back of the “Out of Work List” when the new system goes live.

If you are currently working, you will need to register on UnionWorx to sign the “Out of Work List” again.  This can be done at any time.

To register on Unionworx, go to kernsolarjobs.com click on “Register”, and follow the instructions.  Once registered, Unionworx will also be accessible through their app, which can be downloaded from the appropriate app store for your device.  You will receive a confirmation email once your registration has been approved so there is no need to call the Hall.

Beginning March 1, 2022 all calls to be dispatched will be listed on both kernsolarjobs.com and the UnionWorx app.  This is also where you will bid on jobs (sign the daybook), be notified if you are awarded a job, and given details on picking up your dispatch.

The “Solar Panel Installer Dispatch Procedures” will be updated with these changes and posted when appropriate.
